Unfortunately, most of the volunteer opportunities do not involve direct contact with the children due to the seriousness of their illness. Please be assured that all of these "small jobs" ultimately help the children and their families.

Why Partner?

Friends of Kids with Cancer strives to help children who are battling cancer in the St. Louis area. The money we raise stays right here in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. We also work to keep our administrative costs as low as possible. We are currently under 22% with a goal to be under 20%. We want the money we raise to go directly to the programs that help the children suffering from this terrible disease.

When you partner with “Friends” you will know you are making a difference in the lives of these special children. Each year, “Friends” helps hundreds of children battling cancer in the St. Louis area. Your support will help us continue to help these kids get through their daily struggles. You will help take a painful, depressing situation and turn it into a situation that provides smiles, laughs, and memories. By being a friend to kids with cancer, you are making a difference in the lives of these children and their families.

Ways to be a Friend

There are several ways you can partner with our organization and donate to this worthwhile cause. These include:

· Becoming a sponsor of one of our fundraisers: We have four fundraising events each year and are always looking for sponsorships. For more information on each event and sponsorship levels please call or e-mail the friends office.

· Third party fundraisers: Many individuals and companies have their own fundraisers that the proceeds benefit our organization. If you have any questions on the different types of fundraisers and how to partner with Friends of Kids with Cancer please call or e-mail the friends office.

· Hats on Day: Hats on Day is held in schools throughout the St. Louis area and in businesses across St. Louis. The students or employees make a donation to wear a hat for the day. Please contact the “Friends” office or check out the Hat’s on Day section of our website for more information.

· Memorials/Honorariums: If you want to make a memorial or honorary donation or need memorial envelopes please check out our form on our website or call our office for further assistance.

· In-Kind Gifts: Whether it is collecting toys for the children or donating in-kind gifts for our fundraisers, your generosity is greatly appreciated. We also have a wish list of various items that make our jobs easier. If you would like more information please contact our office.

· Planned Giving: We will work with you to help make a lasting contribution to Friends of Kids with Cancer. There are various ways to set up a planned gift. Contact our office for more details.
