Munchie Mondays

Along the same lines as our snack program, Munchie Mondays goes one step further and provides an entire meal for everyone on the floor getting treatment. Once a week, a volunteer will take down meals for lunch at the treatment centers. The food itself varies from Subway sandwiches to Steak N Shake, but its always a hit with the families. Providing a meal like this takes one less thing off the mind of the parents who are with the child, who would normally have to stop somewhere anyway or resort to hospital food. We enjoy providing a break from the monotony of the week with a special meal, and its an opportunity for volunteers to interact with the kids and their families.
