Friends of Kids with Cancer’s 28th annual Trivia Night sold out once again, attended by a variety of people, including patient families, treatment center partners, old friends, and newcomers.
Allie Gordon and Ken Cooley co-emceed the night, Allie inspired by the Moira Rose character from TV’s Schitt’s Creek, and Ken dressed in Ralphie’s bunny suit from the movie A Christmas Story.
Popular games returned like Balloon Pop, Heads or Tails, Lucky Card, and the virtual relay race game, this time as trolls.
Guests arrived on the red carpet dressed to impress in their Hollywood garb, or as their favorite characters in movies, television, and theatre. One table, spearheaded by the family of a patient, dressed all as Jurassic Park characters – a couple of dinosaurs, the charismatic Jeff Goldblum scientist, and even as the nefarious Dennis Nedry character in a rain jacket.
The guest who won Best Dressed came dressed in all-white glam as Marilyn Monroe.
This event raised over $45,000 from registration, games, raffles, and donations, the proceeds of which go directly to Friends of Kids with Cancer, providing essential funds for kids, teens, and their families to help cope with the effects of a pediatric cancer diagnosis.
