Friends of Kids with Cancer is committed to keeping patient families, staff, volunteers and our community safe.  We serve an immune compromised population and due to the increasing Coronavirus concerns in our area, we respectfully require all interactions with our organization to comply with public health best practices.

Please be aware that the following best practices as set by the World Health Organization has been implemented in our office:

  • Immediately seek medical treatment and stay home if you are sick or feel unwell.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then discard the tissue and wash your hands.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently-touched objects and surfaces using a regular household spray or wipe
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • When not in a position to wash your hands, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

In addition, we are requiring all visitors to please reschedule your interactions with Friends if any of the following apply to you or your family:

  • If you have been in contact with anyone who is sick.
  • If you have or been in contact with someone that has traveled via plane  in the last 14 days.
  • Fever and symptoms of lower respiratory illness.
  • Cough or difficulty breathing.

Thank you for your help in being cautious and conscious of the patient families we serve, and for your support in helping kids with cancer… be kids!

Wishing you good health and happiness,
