A Bit of Glitz and Glamour for Children with Cancer at the 2022 Fashion Show & Boutique
St. Louis, MO, August 10, 2022 – The 2022 Fashion Show & Boutique is a special fundraiser, celebrating 30 years of hope, that treats children with cancer and blood-related diseases to the red-carpet lifestyle for a day at The Ritz-Carlton on Thursday, November 3rd. This 28th annual event, which was on hold the past two years due to Covid-19, is finally back and will raise funds to support Friends of Kids with Cancer’s Educational, Emotional, and Recreational programs.
Over the past 30 years, Friends of Kids with Cancer has helped families cope with the daily challenges presented by cancer and blood-related diseases. This event showcases a journey of hope, allowing survivors and post-treatment patients to come together as models on the runway feeling strong, beautiful, and confident. Each model arrives at The Ritz-Carlton ready to be our pampered guests and are greeted with toys and gifts specifically picked for them and their siblings. They get their hair and make-up professionally styled and applied and are glamorously dressed for the runway.
The event, which offers a luncheon and a dinner show, features a red-carpet gala with boutique shopping from local vendors, gourmet food by The Ritz-Carlton, and auction. This beautiful celebration in honor of these special children and survivors provides much needed funding for the charity’s every-day programming.
The fundraiser is held Thursday, November 3rd at The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis. In 2019, this event raised over $400,000 to support kids with cancer and their families. The luncheon show begins with boutique shopping and cash bar at 10:00 a.m., followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. and the runway show immediately follows. The dinner show begins with boutique shopping and cocktail hour with open bar at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. and the runway show and auction immediately follows.
