Your support helped us break the budget for the 2017 Trivia Night to help kids with cancer...be kids! "A Night at the Oscars" trivia sold out of 51 tables, over 500 guests, in early January and many generous families and companies came together to ensure the success of this fundraiser.
We heard a moving patient story by parent Matt Karhoff whose son, Luke, was in treatment for cancer for several years and benefited from Friends' programs. Matt spoke about the importance of the whole family unit when a child is battling cancer and how Friends' programs support siblings, who endure many challenges throughout this battle.
Congratulations to our winning team, Wendy Carter's table!
Special thanks to Jennifer Meckles, of KSDK, for emceeing the event.
This fundraiser would not have been successful without our committee chairs, Sharon Roth, Robert Brown, Alison Ponitz and all of our committee members and volunteers. Thank you for your dedication to this event and our mission of helping kids with cancer...be kids!
